Here at Tilted Knight Metal Designs, we are a small family business specializing in plasma cut metal signs, art and more! We strive to provide the best quality while creating our products. To do so, we design, cut, and finish everything ourselves, in our shop located in Concord, North Carolina. So there is no need to worry about any "middle men".

What is Plasma Cutting and how does it compare to Laser cutting??
With plasma cutting, a cutting torch is used through which concentrated electrical currents and high velocity gas, flow. High, intense heat is created which cuts through the metal, while compressed gas blows away molten material from the back of the cut.
Laser cutting is a precise thermal cutting process using a focused and narrow beam of light.
Plasma cutting is only used for cutting metal and has the ability to cut through thicker materials(up to 6in), whereas laser cutting can be used on multiple different types of thinner materials. Due to the narrow kerf width of the laser, laser cutting has the ability to cut smaller, precise details. Plasma cut items have a less "perfect" look to them, lending to a more rustic finish.
Care instructions
To clean, We recommend using a soft cloth with water and/or mild soap.
If an item is kept outside, especially in a wet or sun-soaked area, we recommend applying a clear coat once a year to keep it in tip top shape!
If you would like to repaint your item, lightly sand the surface to create some roughness. Add light coats of paint until desired coverage is achieved. Finish with a clear coat for added protection and durability.
Processing time
The time we need to prepare an order for shipping varies. Typically 2 weeks is what we need. For details, see individual items.
